I think iron ore price will stay low for sometime, not low enough for big players to be unprofitable (eg BHP, etc.) but not high enough to start a brand-new multi-billion magnetite project.

Big players can increase productions to push price low, so they can stay in control. And reduce production to push price up.

After what happen with CITIC's $8B CAPEX, I think everyone will be careful investing in Australia. I'm NOT saying projects will be like CITIC, but that project gave bad name to magnetite ore.

Just IMHO.
