I hear what you are saying re surface samples and nothing being certain. You mention TRH as an example that failed to deliver when drilling. POL at Carina delivered almost the same grades after drilling as they first encountered in the surface samples.
I believe that if these surface- rock chip samples of Fe go close to being repeated in the drilling, then SXG will certainly create some interest.
I dare say you are aware that two of the major SXG share holders could (on past and recent form) be interested enough to make SXG a target, if future drilling results confirm the samplings. Cliffs could also be interested in SXG's tenements as they have been previously, allbeit in a much smaller way.
If SXG can come up with good results, SXG might become extinct or become fully cashed up to continue its gold exploration and production.
I see the Fe follow up as SXG's best strategy for the short to medium term.
I could be wrong but I think you will find that this iron ore formation etc, is a relatively new discovery for SXG and pardon the pun "strike while the iron's hot" as this is likely a true reflection of SXG's current intentions.
Cheers!
