They MCO supplied host quartz rock to Gecko and forgot about the surrounding diorite, the plant could not process that surrounding material which plugged up the system you could say and produced very little gold.
People involved with MCO would probably have a different story, Iike there was no gold there to begin with, but AUL have taken a different approach and have overcome this problem and are producing good gold from this processing plant and mines.
