Gibbsite is the value in the bauxite! It is not only a mineral, in this case it is THE mineral. Your freight fears are confusing a prospective project where a single purpose rail line is being built with the situation in Cameroon. An existing multi-user rail which is substantially under utilised is awaiting clients.
I've already posted data on costs and am happy to wait for Canyon to update us all. Judging by the speed at which they are working, that wait will not be too long. On my calcs they are looking at US$20-25 per tonne net profit. On a 10 million tonne per annum run rate you can work that one out. I trust the data I have come up with and my sources, neither of which I will reveal.
I'm not in Perth either, I'm East coast based but will be in Perth for the rest of the week because it is AGM season.
The other thing I've noticed about AGM season is that the majority of companies like putting out new news leading in.
