HIGHLIGHTS:
• Very high-grade bauxite trend identified within the existing bauxite resource at the Minim Martap project, Cameroon.
• Previous drilling across three plateaux in the very high-grade trend defined a Resource of 145.1MT at 49.09% Al2O3 (total) & 2.35% SiO2 (total).
• Canyon will commence drilling in November on the high-grade plateau targeting high grade ore with low total silica.
• Additional drilling on the high grade plateaux within the identified trend will target a resource of over 200MT at over 50% Al2O3.

Canyon Resources Ltd (ASX: CAY) is pleased to announce it has identified a cluster of very high-grade, low contaminant bauxite at its Minim Martap Project in Cameroon, central Africa. The trend is along a NE/SW orientated corridor in the north-western quadrant of the Minim Martap Project. The high-grade plateaux follow a distinct lineation visible throughout the Minim Martap and Makan permits, extending into the southern area of the permits. Canyon believes there is potential for a substantial upgrade to the high-grade portion of the Minim Martap resource as less than 30% of the bauxite plateaux within the identified corridor have been tested to date.

Canyon’s Chief Geologist Dr Alexander Shaw stated, “Following detailed analysis of remote sensing imagery, the previous drilling and field mapping in the north-western and western part of the Minim Martap permit, we have identified a very exciting high-grade bauxite trend with a distinct NE/SWorientated lineation extending throughout the licence area.
