I did not know that about the dyke material having trouble being tertiary crushed ,
An ore sorter however is an expensive piece of kit guessing $5 to 10 M
There was talk at the time on HC when the mill was built that a grizley (similar to a cattle stop ) placed across the top of the feed bin would separate out the larger country rock , seems a bit of a hit and miss approach though .
Another option I guess would be flotation after crushing to separate the quartz .
WHat did the old timers do with separation with their old stamp mills ?
