Hi McHale,
Really respect your analysis and point of view but we hope you're not right about retail SHs getting shafted!
We've been canvassing a lot of people's opinions and the consensus is that there will be some corporate action around the time of the new resource update/feasibility study (early to mid next year?). It is likely that there will be moves to take out AML's giant Walford Creek resource at this point.
The unknown is what OCP will do? Under normal circumstances being the hedge fund that they are, they would sell to the highest bidder and all shareholders should see a very good profit.
The professional advice that we've been given is that, however, if, at this point, OCP try to do something dodgy, then the current Board of AML will be in some very serious trouble indeed (given the now documented proof of their 'inappropriately close' relationship and dealings with OCP which have clearly been to the detriment of other shareholders).
Therefore, on balance, our feeling is that commonsense will prevail and AML will be re rated
vastly upwards from where it is now (however, this is just our opinion!).
It's such a shame this is the way it is at present. Walford Creek is a huge discovery which to your point, Hamish Collins and Paul Harris should be promoting the hell out of.
It is quite unbelievable that they don't/won't!
