I don't think it's a leaky ship.
All it would ever take to turn this stock around is one buy order.
Fact is, that at least IMHO, this company is fundamentally cheap and doesn't require any further news for it to be trading through its highs.
Given the tightness of the register, all it takes is someone to decide they want 100k shares and we'll be knocking on the door of $5 again.
I don't believe that any of BP's friends have accumulated any stock, and I doubt that the company will make a placement to them just to help them get set and for the heck of it.
HNWs tend to hang with HNWs, and all it takes is a little Googling to see who some of BP's buddies are.
And all it would take is a whisper in the ear from BP and the hounds will be released.
Remember, Yanks, unlike Aussies, see stocks trading at $4 as penny stocks. Similarly, they're buying in USD, so the stock is cheaper for them, at least psychologically.
Once again, I don't know if this is the case, but it sure looks like there has been a buyer in the market the last couple of days - and as wel all know, buying begets buying & selling begets selling.
