No I don't work for the company. "Our" as a shareholder.
Yes I agree and expect a similar outcome for UK with significant initial advertising but I would expect our profitability to improve in Australia from here on if sales continue to grow as expected and then the same to occur in the UK after the initial 2 or 3 months of brand awareness advertising.
We are way ahead compared to others in this regard. To quote gtblackrs4,
"(Mkt Darling Afterpay announced a $22m HY loss today, mkt cap $4.3bn!)"
Next financial year begins in just a few months and I would expect to see good profits by then - well ahead of what other early stage companies in this space are doing. It's just about volumes now as the gross profit margin is high as hoped. We all know we are in a very high growth sector and  from independent forecasts, it will remain very strong.
