That may be so. But how will they monetise the connections? Its not about the connections as much as peoples propensity to pay for a service that is free from several other sources. At its core it is paid voicemail. Even the 'sales pitch' that the CEO provides is along the lines of "...say I am on my way to the supermarket and my wife gives me a long list. I can go back and listen to the call because it is recorded". See, I can use the same example. Except at the end of the conversation I will say "Great. Text me the list"
I understand that I pay whenever I listen to a recorded call. That means that whenever I use the service I will be making a value judgement. and when I see it on my bill I will be asking "was that really worth it?' And I think we can clearly see from the revenues, that the market is saying a resounding No.
And that is why Dubber will always burn cash... oh and the ludicrous spending
