We, Australians and politicians like to hide behind US and pretend we are most powerful nation second only to US in the world. We forget China is 5 times bigger than US and China is fast catching up with US in a very competitive way. It is good for both countries and the world. However Australia is only focusing on the negative sides of China and forgetting about the prosperity she brought to Australia and the World, only in the last 20 years or so. The speed and the changes China progressed needs to be modelled by the rest of the world instead of being fearful. As US feels losing its dominant authority to China, she is constantly singles out China as a "Bad" country of the world, just like what it did to Russia until Russia collapsed and posed no threat to US any more.
People who could not accept China's rise should take a walk on the street in China these days and get a World Wide View of China. It will blow their biased perception away.
