I did as you suggested today and spoke to my broker (at a high profile firm) and asked him to do a bit of research for me. He spoke to their resources specialist who said he has been following Cazaly's story for some time.

In summary he advised: "Cazaly has been erratic in recent years and has let slip some opportunities. However the rumours you have heard are only rumors. There has been no indication given from any credible source that Cazaly will miss out. Their submission for port allocation is strong and there is no reason to believe they won't receive a satisfactory result as expected by their board."

Make of this what you will, but I know which source I have more faith in.

P.S. If you're right and I'm wrong, I will be sacking my broker.
