Hi Peejay, If you remember, I opened my comments on LIC's with an observation that I wanted to buy a small cap LIC but some LIC's in particular are running cash levels that are too high for my liking. I never said I owned shares. However, CDM is starting to peak my interest because the cash levels are sensible, the share price has been damaged by a brutal sell down in a holding which represents a big chunk of the portfolio, and I have alot of respect for KS's investment methods. I'm sorry some people have been hurt by recent events, but as a potential new shareholder, I find these levels quite appealing.
In the meantime, the XSO is up 12% from its lows in December, and some of these LIC's that are overweight cash (not CDM) are currently underperforming by as much as 50%.
