SGF has fallen a lot on no news - other than missing ECX and little volume. While it has tracked down further this time it will head back up again. I don't think there is anything to be concerned about - but I have been wrong before. I agree that missing ECX was not a bad thing - at least at any price which is what MMS paid.
This has been one of my dividend stocks and the growth in the profit/dividend and the good ROE , together with a good management team and solid backing from a majority holder are all pluses for me. I will concede that the majority holder is seen as a problem for some and may be the reason that the tipsters avoid SGF.
With regard to new vehicle sales - that may be a factor but SGF are mitigating by broadening the offering - 'would you like fries with that ...' and I see them as innovative and growing organically even in a tighter market.
