I wrote the above post 4 months ago mainly in response to the illogical SP fall in SFG. What my research also told me was that ECX was a investor nightmare waiting to happen with a ROE at barely 7% and a Debt/Equity ratio of 187% . What also amazed me was the huge amount of cash that ECX carried . So I was not surprised by the recent SP collapse in ECX when it’s underwhelming results were released.
I sold out of SGF yesterday for a break even result. Happy to get out at that. I sold as I am not convinced a higher takeover offer for ECX will be good for SGF holders.
