Hi guys,
I spoke to someone at AZJ re the buyback stopping and the only reason for this is because legally they cannot buy back on market from Jan 1 through to Feb 12 until the Half Yearly results are released because they are aware of sensitive information relating to these results that no-one else knows.....apparantly this is the same for everyone in a current buyback. He mentioned on and post Feb 12 the buyback can re-commence accordingly.
They confirmed it's not short selling that is impacting the price decrease, he thought it was a combination of bond yields increasing and the uncertainty re UT5.
