Absolutely. Added bonus of no rainy season and cyclones coming through and stuffing production in South Australia. I'm really surprised they haven't looked at that option further - especially with global warming set to increase severity and frequency of extreme weather events. I would want to see something in the business plan for the production facility addressing climate change and anticipated events. Any shipping cost increase might well be offset by delays or reduced production up North thanks to weather events.
Of course you might miss a bit of NAIF funding - but that's on the periphery anyway and nothing a quick call to SA Premier wouldn't fix with a matching offer I wouldn't think. They'd surely be chomping at the bit to get the plant down there somewhere.
