Woodside hasn't even acknowledged the Clio-Acme comments from Chevron. If there had been any formal agreement including commercial terms etc. negotiated it would have been commented on by both sides. I don't believe anything is agreed yet on that. Clio-Acme won't get a free ride On WPL infrastructure. WPL are a major blue chip, they aren't going to comment on every bit of media...
And where is the downside of the current share price? 4-5% dividend yield while investing $1.5B in growth and an LNG shortage just around the corner...
One of the WPL staff I know commented that the new HQ is actally cheaper in rent and more floor space. Not sure on the numbers, but in the scheme of things, HQ rent is pretty low on the costs either way. A few mil either way isn't going to hurt WPL or have any material impact on margins.
