OK. MDO is US$698 per ton today in Singapore. So that's $0.698 per kg. The Brake Specific Fuel Consumption of a Wartsila 32 series medium speed engine, used in fixed generation installations is 178.8g/kwh. So, for 1kg of fuel we generate 5.593kwh, which cost 69.8 cents. The cost then of power, in a Wartsila 32 series engine at todays bunker price is $0.1248/kwh.
