down&up, and how much will the power cost be using Wärtsilä 34DF dual-fuel engines. Great engines no doubt about it and relatively fuel efficient especially when they run on gas. However, any body who runs smelters using engine driven power is an idiot.
The only efficient way is nuclear or hydro. Coal fired is also OK too, but nobody seems to wants coal fired today.
It seems that these five Wärtsilä 34DF dual-fuel engines will run on diesel to start with from Nov 2018, so not much chance of smelters firing up before year end.
