I'm not sure what you mean by overpriced. The Centre for Infectious Diseases and Microbiology Laboratory Services at Westmead Hospital in NSW provides some useful cost data for the Easy Screen product. GSS' product is 50% cheaper to use than the competition. (see below).
Consumable costs for performing an equivalent testing similar to that provided by GSS panels is estimated at $70/sample. Additional labour costs bring the total cost to $120.
All 3 GSS EasyScreen assays (19 targets) can be performed for under $60 excluding labour, depending on volume and the extraction platform of choice.
