Ive been in this stock for over 5 years and only recently exited...

Ive been in this stock for over 5 years and only recently exited when the price was 20c and only managed a small profit for that 5 years so not the best investment, the divys over the time made it ok, but I could have had that with anyone of the big 4 banks.

This stock fluctuates and has so many drivers that tip it either from the greatest find on the ASX to a dog that is burning cash. What my 5 year ride taught me was with a stock like this you cant fall in love with it, you have to be absolutely brutal in your assessment and make you entry when it is at it's low point.

This is not a long term hold like I once thought, the risk you face with commodity prices, ownership control and lack of clarity in management intentions tips the scales to a more risky stock that should demand higher returns and I doubt they will come from divvys.

Long term high yield is also not here because divvy's come and go depending on I/O, Oil and AUD/USD price.

So I know Auto has a very deep understanding of the drivers that control SP so I would be cautious in throwing away his assessment to quickly.

Just my thoughts and for the record I'm out for a while as this stock has given me heartburne in the past with its roller coaster ride and I was way overweight because I feel in love with it. But I like to follow it as when the timing is right there may be an opportunity for rentry but right now I'm happy to sit on the side so I'm not up or down ramping. Only commenting because it helps me understand the whole process and hopefully I wont make the same mistake with other stocks.
