    Hi Mate,
    There is no set time period or even the need to use VWAP. It's just common for them to use it so they can say ' ... this represents a X% discount to the XDay VWAP ...' making you feel like you're getting a bargain. That is, until these drops below whatever the price is and funny stuff starts to happen to prop the price, closing dates extended, or an Ann released to get it over the line ...
