Cridz - Obviously coloured diamonds have been around for as long as any other diamond, but I think you will find that Argyle was instrumental is creating a high value market for coloured diamonds. The mining in early 2000 was not large scale, compared to what was mined by Ashton/ Rio in the early nineties. The point I am trying to make is that the market for coloured diamonds is better than it was 20+ years ago .

Noting that diamonds are only worth what people think they are worth, and marketing people/ campaigns create the value (albeit artificial - ie. lets face it diamonds are a worthless rock without marketing and hype!).
