You've failed to grasp the meaning there.

They are saying that the sampling was not influenced by visible signs of mineralisation, i.e. they sampled the rock whether there was sulphides visible or not (which is very important).

By waffle I mean posts that read like a thesis. My post was 2 lines. Short. Succinct. To the point. Getting the point across in as few a words as possible.
