Tomboy, i truly wonder how much mining experience you actually have, me i have been mining since 1966. Started at the bottom as we all did then, worked my way through & in that time have been a supervisor, foreman, on small mining operations an underground manager which entailed building & organizing a successful mining operation from scratch & have also been a full mine manager. You are entitled to your opinions as we all are, but do you see many SIR shareholders bashing POS. I dont think so. SIR has incredible Blue Sky potential in both Nickel & Gold, the quality of the ore at Nova with credits is unsurpassed & take offs when production commences are already in the pipeline. Polar Bear is just kicking off with once again huge potential . Yes POS has the infrastructure, but operations are scattered, Take Windarra, or LJ, while on care & maintainence were the balls removed from the ball mills, maybe, but god help them if they wernt, cos by now the ball mills would have become unbalanced & adopted an eliptical shape. Refurbishment of declines is a time consuming & expensive excercise with on most occasions replacement of mesh & rockbolts as the decline refurbishment progresses. Even though galvanized mesh & bolts is standard in the industry for the last several years that does not make them infallible to the effects of super-saline ground water and of course to ground movement, the upper levels of LJ are very prone to movement with very weak country rock, which after the suspension of operations would have deteriorated especially when taking the sub-level cave stoping method into consideration. All of these potential problems can be overcome, but dont expect the mining staff to rock up, turn on the power & its full steam ahead.
