The US shale oil sector is just a sub-prime debacle of enormous wealth destruction. GGE would have been better of stacking the cash and looking to buy reasonable assets that were non-core assets to other companies,near the next low in the oil price,rather than leasing unconventional ground at the top of the current intermediate cycle,imo. At any rate that run to .006 was very welcome and I'll be waiting back at .002-3 to do it all again,depending on how the board react to the new POO.
