Those were pretty much the numbers I was tossing around off the back of my envelope too.
I keep asking myself "What am I missing?". It seems almost too good to be true (and we all know what that usually means...).
Thinking of this from the perspective of the frustrated directors (one of whom has a big stake in the company), I can see that this move, if successful, releases a lot of cash payout (much more than selling the shares at the current price could achieve) from a company that we all agree is "very undervalued". Think of those with multi millions of shares - potentially $200 per month per million shares currently held in GGE.
The downside is of course that there is realistically no way out (the shares are essentially unsaleable) unless a further corporate action occurs (such as a private buy out from within or external to the company).

Putting it another way, any shares bought now at under 1c will be repaid (in unfranked dividends) in under 4 years (0.24c per share per year at the current estimated rate of return) without consideration of what the GGE remnant will achieve. Does that make it a good deal?

Is this a case of eating the cake and but still having it too?

I'm happy (well willing rather than "happy") to have our reasoning picked apart and shown to be faulty.
