@matyd, I like the current proposal and think it opens opportunities for us that unfortunately haven't occurred over the years. I had a couple of starts at posting however it has been good as a reader to see other people's views and didn't want stiffle that discussion. My views on mgt and the company here haven't changed and I believe that view has been consistently supported in the published reports.

Assuming a successful voting outcome I think it more likely a non O&G venture is considered purely based on the negativity to O&G at the moment and uncertainty over prices. That's purely a guess as there is some history where our mgt have assisted others in such ventures. O&G is expensive and currently imo there is no point in exploring and taking unnecessary risks until some confidence returns and market sentiment improves.

I suspect the Dec qtr will be okay despite the drop in prices and also that any new venture will be based on sound financials and DD.
