Genex previously announced the energisation of the transformer, and alluded to generating electricity within 1-2 weeks after that.

The announcement today confirms the milestone of electricity transmission into the national grid (in my opinion, a very significant one), and now means that from today they are receiving money into the shareholders bank account! This revenue will be higher (until formal completion) than the floor price they will receive from the QLD Government. All at the right time of year - HOT days = higher revenue.
