Exactly, which imo is why it a little unfair to do a comparison to a Gold cut off grade. The two are fundamentally different. The best way obviously is to compare a producing mine of similar geological occurrence and break down the operating expenditure/AISC from there.
In regards to % ore.. I’m talking about energy requirement.. if I was to over simplify an example I could ask;
Which material process is going to use less energy to extract to 75% purity?.. a process with a 2.4g/t input.. or a process with a 50kg/t input.
One is obviously much easier than the other in terms of energy required and therefore time/cost
I think we understand each other anyway, TY for making me think btw. I didn’t know they used to do comparisons to gold equivalent, always learn something new from you Goldbugs
