ASX 200 hits 6,300 as BHP shares rise, the Nearmap share price goes ballistic, and Afterpay shares hit another all time high

Stocks of the day
Speaking of climbing, the Nearmap (ASX:NEA) share price has taken off today after the aerial imagery company upgraded its growth outlook. Nearmap shares are up almost 20 per cent to $1.33 in Tuesday morning trade, and have now jumped 113 per cent higher in the last 12 months.
Nearmap is popular amongst a number of small cap fund managers, liked no doubt for its US prospects, with growth in that massive market exceeding that of Australia for the first time in the company’s history. As with many high flying ASX tech stocks, you don’t buy Nearmap for today’s profits. You buy it for the 143 per cent growth in its fledgling US business, hoping the company can hit it big in the world’s largest economy.
