I have been a slave all my life and I hate it, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy - I think it is a great tragedy and waste of human potential.

True, the degree has changed and we have many freedoms - I am less of a slave than the people of the past. We have the gains of socialist activists of the past to thank for a lot of those gains, or if you are in a profession that's effectively a union which unnaturally restrains competition - in effect the same thing.
As Keynes said that doesn't change the overall system it just makes a few winners.

The reason directors get paid so much is they have the best union and line of spin which says that no-one else can join the old boy's club (no governance experience) and shareholders who don't restrain them from grabbing all the cash.

However given the freedom to write my own destiny I can tell you that there is a lot I can and will achieve.

It may help you rationalise it to not consider yourself a slave, again that's a moral choice not a factual one. We agree on the facts just whether the facts are 'good or bad' which is entirely subjective.
If you agree with freedom and democracy then you will not want to compel or to be compelled to do anything. Or you can take the totalitarian state communist or state capitalist positions which are essentially the same.

If you don't want to feel bad about being a slave then I guess you can not call it that, you can call my desire for freedom a 'negative viewpoint' but I don't see it as such. I may admire what you do but despise what you are as Wilhelm said.

“…man never regards what he possesses as so much his own, as what he does; and the labourer who tends a garden is perhaps in a truer sense its owner, than the listless voluptuary who enjoys its fruits…In view of this consideration, it seems as if all peasants and craftsman might be elevated into artists; that is, men who love their labour for its own sake, improve it by their own plastic genius and inventive skill, and thereby cultivate their intellect, ennoble their character, and exalt and refine their pleasures. And so humanity would be ennobled by the very things which now, though beautiful in themselves, so often serve to degrade it…But, still, freedom is undoubtedly the indispensable condition, without which even the pursuits most congenial to individual human nature, can never succeed in producing such salutary influences. Whatever does not spring from a man’s free choice, or is only the result of instruction and guidance, does not enter into his very being, but remains alien to his true nature; he does not perform it with truly human energies, but merely with mechanical exactness…

…we may admire what he does, but we despise what he is.”

On the other hand you can invest in order to be dispossessed and build institutions through your wealth to prove as the old anarchists did the truth with 'propaganda of the deed'. If anyone wants to help me with that then I will share investment ideas.
The dispossessed own nothing except for their freedom, what they have is freely given.

All the greedy capitalist, grasping, leeching, unoriginal scroungers who follow me to copy my ideas so they can make lots of money to by expensive luxuries I say go to hell.
