I completely agree with your sentiments around forming your own opinion and not following the herd, though of course an opinion isn’t wrong just simply because it is popular (and vice versa). I also agree that the truth of a claim is not determined by how well we like it’s implications. That being said, I’m not claiming to have the truth or to know what the answers are. I’m also not offended by criticism, however there’s a constructive way of doing this. I would be very happy for you to point out the flaws in my base assumptions provided you can do this without saying that I want to enslave people. Though I don’t find that offensive I do find it to be very silly and manifestly false. Though this may depend on how you are defining ‘enslavement’, the average socialist might define an employment contract this way, or perhaps the implicit contract that citizens hold with the state. A case of using a loaded word as a rhetorical devise to sway opinion on things that are otherwise mundane.
As for rebuttal of certain ideas, I will again admit to not being an expert on anarchism or your particular brand of it. That being said looking at things more broadly, I could fill a book (or several) with criticisms of utopian ideology and collectivist ideology separately, then yet more again on the combination of those things. To measure the success of utopian collectivism when combined, we need only look at last century‘s body count. The problems inherant in communism or fascism are present in anarcho syndicalism as well: namely that they are all extreme forms of collectivism and as such share the same base problems. Devalue the individual and you lose sight of the value of people, all to lift up some ideal of the collective that quickly becomes divorced from the people who supposedly make it up. Removing totalitarian government from the equation may make the gulags less likely (though certainly not impossible) but brings its own share of problems, a precursor of which can be seen in the might makes right attitude of various anarchist groups - e.g. Antifa (predominately though not entirely made up of anarchists). Then we need to look at the related issues inherant in the anarchist’s goal of disbanding the police. The anarcho-capitalists have a (very bad) solution to this, the anarcho-socialists have nothing as far as I’m aware. Anyway I’m going into more detail here than i should on politics.... the point being that there are political disagreements for a reason. No one has the answers and none of these solutions is beyond criticism or rebuttal - including those ideas that you or I subscribe to.
Regarding needing to be smarter, research harder etc. Though trading is a zero sum game, investing need not be. Improving your own wealth does not nessecitate beating others at the same game. Regarding ‘closing the gap’ you have no gap to close. Based on your statement about your holdings you are wealthier than I am. I don’t claim to be wealthy or any kind of expert investor. Congratulations in getting that fantastic price for your shares, and I mean that sincerely.
I don’t wish to publicly state details of my overall portfolio or other assets however I currently hold approx 320,000 shares of Shine.
