I'm sorry but I think if you agree to hire a company to provide you services and then decide you suddenly no longer want those services after they assist you for 2 years because you think you can get a better deal elsewhere, in no situation will you ever be allowed to walk away for free. Your own greed has led you to this situation, if it is even true at all. On top of this, you're opening yourself to the legal risk of being sued for defamation so maybe you should be aware by now that it would have been cheaper to work with a lawyer after all, since your ability to navigate the legal field appears to be non-existent.

That would of course, require the ability to take responsibility for your own decisions.

On the flipside, maybe you should be sharing your gripe with another law firm and try to sue Shine if you think you've got a case against them, not an investor forum. I for one would be happy to see Shine maintain their lien over your awarded damages until you discharge the debt that you owe them. As an investor it's in my interest for them reduce the possibility of WIP being unrecoverable.
