Some days it was adding $400-500M+ to its market cap simply by spruiking it was planning to deliver pizzas by drones ...
Now let's ignore the obvious drone laws that prevent that, or the fact that $Bn postal companies like FedEx and tech giants like Google haven't mastered it or anywhere close.
Yet DMP who sell discount pizzas were going to have drones driving and flying around AUZ and NZ delivering pizzas and that would result in $M's in cost savings ?
So then it comes straight back to financials when you remove the tech hype and PE ratio ...
$126M NPAT for something that sells pizzas - that's the simple breakdown of what it is. Take into account their growth, is it sustainable, competition, market changes (like staff and franchises payments) and then put a reasonable PE on it
People started hyping this like a tech stock ... it isn't. It was valued at 3-6 times that of KFC, McDonalds and all other fast foods. Why ? Absolutely no reason to justify the price
