Mali's forced changes of government (I'm avoiding the word 'coup' on purpose) seem rather tame affairs. From what I can tell, there's been no bloodshed at all.
The main concern would seem to be the very opportunistic Islamist forces in the north of the country, who it seems would rapidly exploit any opportunities caused through political instability in the south.
