Waste to ore ratio & grade of the ore are the factors that matter.
DDH37 5M x 1.4% Cu at a depth of 109M so W/O ratio is over 20:1 on open pit
DDH06 6M x 1.9% Cu at a depth of 223M so W/O ratio is over 35:1 on open pit
Aren't those the sort of numbers that got the previous owner bust?
I'm just trying to look at it practically, if the ratio & grade warrant it, dig as deep an open pit as you like.
