yes saving in CAPEX on the downstream part of the plant being smaller , also savings in energy needed for ball mill comminution after crushing effectively lowering the Bond mill work index also possibility of being able to mine earlier by transporting a higher grade ore to Meekethara or Mt Magnet for toll treatment before the plant is even built .
I would have thought the rock moved would have been the same except what was previously thought of as gangue helo ore and being moved to waste would now be cost effective to treat
