Hi Mulac
I quite agree. The chinese are masters at disinformation
To wit:
The global nickel supply deficit for 2019 is expected to narrow to 22,000 tonnes from 143,000 tonnes in 2018, Xu Aidong, chief analyst of Chinese research organization Antaike, said at a nickel and cobalt conference in China on November 7.
Yet Nornickel in a previous article I posted says that the deficit for 2019 is going to be around 70,000 tonnes.
I am watching with keen interest to see if the LME separates the nickel into separate contracts early next year. As they state they are fundamentally different markets and therefore require different pricing mechanisms. This should break the strangle hold caused by the laterite market and it will potentially remove a large manipulator. The benefits for SGQ are obvious and will help in the rerate.
This should happen about March according to one of our esteemed posters LOL
cheers
