I don't expect any issues on the name of the company - I was more pointing out the main domain is already taken, but it may soon be available again. I'm sure our team has done their DD.
Sam, I think what Snowy is saying is the company has had several name changes & the product has also been revamped. All of which is true.
Certainly, what's seen on the new website appears quite different to the old blue model that I have. I too have subscribed for the new version, so look forward to receiving that.
I'm also looking forward to see what JB & MJ can deliver, especially given JB's time at Nike and some of the sporting organisations she has worked with.
The last newsletter hinted at mobile health solutions, which makes me think there will be an app somewhere along the pipeline to coincide with the physical product (but that's my reading between the lines).
S209.... - It's possible that we could have signed a licencing deal prior to sales on the potential of the product. It looks to me based on the newsletter that part of the strategy is to de-risk the product prior to a licencing deal. So if they can build a profile and a brand and a social awareness and then some sales, perhaps they can then sign a better licencing deal. This is where having some affiliates on board may help to strengthen the profile prior to such a deal.
The affiliates will already have either an established physical presence and/or online presence and will be able to easily help promote our product(s). Online is potentially easy. These sites will most likely have newsletters and FB fan pages whereby they can promote the product. They may have online shops or they could 'direct' web surfers directly to our online store and if the surfer buys the affiliate receives a commission.
If they can get the right partners/affiliates then it has the potential for what Internet Marketers call viral marketing. I can think of one mid-tier cycling company that has > 250k likes on FB that could be a good fit to partner with.
It's these affiliate partners who will help to 'socialise' the products rather than CGP doing everything themselves. In essence we would be leveraging off the work these affiliates have already done to build their online presence.
I'm sure the doomsayers will say there is no licencing deal, so the company is forced to go it alone online.
Finally, I guess us shareholders have a responsibility. We can easily support the company by buying online & passing them onto friends & family when the time is right.
