100% agree. If they had stayed simply a wearables business what do they offer that StatSports can't?? Nothing...no moat whatsoever
They have leveraged their first mover/global leader advantage to build a and overall product offering that rivals (who are already behind) can't compete with.
As the importance of tech in sports continues to grow every year, sporting clubs looking to incorporate some/all of these products now have a one stop shop for their needs, wearbables, video, AMS plus a prosumer offering at a cheraper price point or the lower levels.
From a wearables point of view, SS and CAT have similar products at similar price points...which one are clubs more likely to go for??? The global leader with multiple product offerings or its competitor that offers one product.
Moat is being built around being the ONLY company that offers the complete tech stack for sporting teams...
