The Australian leisure segment, which encountered the perfect storm of weak consumer sentiment, as well as a step-up in wage costs, appears to be where the focus of the market is fixed.

But as you say, that has crowded out what's happening in the business internationally which, even if they are half successful with those international ventures, will dwarf whatever happens to the Australian leisure segment (which, anyway, is not terminal, I don't believe; just impacted cyclically).

As case in point, after running at a loss just two years ago, FLT's America's business in the last half reported Underlying Profit Before Tax equivalent to almost half that generated in Australia and New Zealand:





It won't be long before Americas is Flight's most profitable geographic segment.
