Agree, there is some upside in distribution, though details are important. Include it in the inflight catalogue for a US$30/1GB SIM with 100Mb extra would be good - not giving away SIMs that won't be activated that way.

Was simply comparing it to the alternative - for most countries it's a local SIM, for Scoot it's the in-plane WiFi.
- in country Flexiroam is generally more expensive but comes with significant time benefits in terms of getting a SIM and expired credit (for people visiting multiple countries)
- on a plane I was trying to understand whether Scoot would just be classed as Global data or require some more expensive Local data plan. On a plane you are generally captive and the 30 extra secs to type in a credit card isn't a big disadvantage
