I did highlight the privacy concern in my post (in addition to the fact that Scoot may not wish to provide the information for commercial reasons), and that's why I went on to offer some alternatives.

I was suggesting that Flexiroam present a table of options that would encourage a really frugal traveller to activate the offer rather than saying no. These are LCC customers. They are tight and if you have ever had the pleasure of booking through one of their sites you'll know the frustration of being up sold through the booking process: Seats, luggage, meals, car hire, insurance, hotels, WiFi etc, etc.

I know when I've booked, I'm literally angry by the end of it, clicking No to everything.

When I say generic, I mean with some level of sophistication. Clearly a good start would be outlining the Singapore offer given that that is the hub airport for Scoot.

Singapore 1GB 7 day for $8.

Also add in Europe & Americas deals because they are the most important destinations to pretty much all travellers (whether they are heading there or not on this flight)

Americas: 14 Days 1GB for $10

If the customer orders the microchip we also know:

1. The customer's country of residence
3. They are a Scoot customer.
4. If they use the data in the destination country, we will know their destination and likely flight that they were on.
