Can't wait till 2030. That will make me 97. However I may up my price for the balance.

Here is an experiment for the faithful. It is easy to show the value of potash in agriculture. For many years I have been involved in both farming and with nurseries (hence the monicker "nursery"). Potassium is an essential chemical to fill out fruit and develop its sweetness and flavour. It is also helpful in having the plant set fruit and not flower without fruiting although that problem could be a zinc deficiency as well. How often have we heard the saying "Fruit doesn't taste like it used to". Often it is a deficiency in potash that is the cause, particularly where there are years of farming or in hydroponic production.
Potash comes commercially in two forms. Sulphate of potash (potassium sulphate) and muriate of potash (potassium chloride). By far the best is Potassium Sulphate. The more intensive farming becomes and the higher the plant yield requirements, the more potassium becomes essential. Commercially sulphate of potash comes in many forms. As a soluble crystal, as a solution, as a granule or as part of a complete fertiliser.
If you have a backyard citrus or a strawberry patch try adding a little sulphate of potash. the difference will be evident.

Make a New Years resolution to be a part of returning flavour to food. Happy New Year.
