It is an interesting discussion re the valuations of mining stocks, or any other stock for that matter.
I can see merit in both propositions and also the futility of both .
From my understanding the mine life of Las Lagunas will be far in excess of 6 years ---- possibly or probably I'm not sure --- but more probable I imagine.
The issue at the moment is the get the damn thing going in the first place
My point would be that the market rarely if ever values stock appropriately --- a bit like the drunk story --- the only time it is in the middle of the road is as it crosses. So thinking along those terms neither or any other form of valuation is very relevant. They only give us a guide so we can try to buy a stock that is severely undervalued and sell once it is overvalued sometimes to a ridiculous degree.
Fundamental analysis is not dissimilar to Technical analysis --- it is not the gospel it is all about giving us a better chance.
Give us a producing mine and a bull market in bullion and equities and any price is possible. We do have an almost 10 year bullion bull market but the gold shares are very much on the nose, more so for the juniors.
The real issue at the moment is construction, finance and survival ---- hopefully without to many more low price equity issues.
The conditions precedent are still there ---- I know nothing about these.
So it is all quiet on the western front --- which just may be a good thing --- we don't want any more announcements on the run.
Good luck to us all.
Jim.
