Several shareholders at numerous past AGMs has asked directors whether EVM will be submitting funding proposals with the recently formed CEFC (Clean Energy Finance Corporation).
I don't recall any enthusiasm by the board to submit funding proposals. In fact, the impression I got was for the first EVM Tower to be built overseas. It appears that once the Mildura proposal was abandoned or put on ice, overseas options (such as the USA) were the only alternatives considered by the board.
I realise that the political environment in Australia pertaining to renewable energy funding is poor (disgraceful to be honest - an international embarrassment considering the ideal solar resources that Australia enjoys) - but it appears that persistence and tenacity can pay off eventually (see recent Port Augusta Solar Thermal Plant announcement).
I just don't understand why the board would not pursue ALL funding options for the first EVM Solar Tower (ie domestic and international).
cheers
