Ok you finally have an answer to this one.
Essentially, no. It gets sold & thats it. They are unable to pay any any special payments EXCEPT!:
If the deal is not done by Dec 31, then an interim dividend will be paid for the second half of 2016 to shareholders and this will not affect the 3.50 per share payment.
