Hematite is a non-magnetic oxide mineral, magnetite is a magnetic iron oxide mineral, the common iron sulphide minerals could be Pyrite or Pyhrrotite. Pyrite is non magnetic, Pyhrrotite is weakly magnetic.
Oxides generally don't conduct electricity, sulphides often do conduct electricity.
Gold can be, but not always is, associated with hematite. Gold can be, but not always is, associated with Pyrite or Pyhrrotite. Nothing anyone can do about gold except wait for the drill sample assays.
